It is realy easy do not worry about it , Just make sure you tape off the areas to not get it on .
Lay it flat , can't do it on the car it will drip.
mask with tape.
have all parts ready as it will dry withitn 10 minutes.
keep indoors to keep dust off.
layer with one coat and it will self level and be flat ,no drip marks will show.
let it cure for an hour and apply a 2nd then 3rd coat.

reinstall , all done , no need to add anything on top of it.

I've been looking for this stuff locally for the longest time with no luck. I guess ordering it like you is the only method. Great work nonethless.

So Sat. morning, I had every intent to do apply epoxy resin, but I reconsidered. I'm still whether to top-coat it or not. Of course, top-coating it would help protect the fabric itself, but then it would become permanent. I still don't know what to do.

The resi i buy is from a boat builder supplier , they stock all sorts of carbon fibre , kevlar and fibreglass as well as all the parts needed for it.
Look in the phone book for a supplier like that otherwise a hardware store will carry it in the paint section .

This looks like a simple way to get some more background as well as selling kits to make your own cf anything .

Theo,
just do a test case on a piece of wood wrapped, with your extra fabric. Don't mess up on the good job you've done. Practice first as well as see if you really like the look.
