Default 35% on my car looks hella dark!

i just got my car tinted with Suntek Carbon 35% all around and it looks EXTREMELY dark! do our stock windshields block some visible light already? the side windows almost look completely black from an angle. anyone else have this happen to them with 35% tint???

i will post up pics when i pick up my car this weekend.

EDIT: updated pics starting on post 43.

I have the same exact tint...and I love it. The 35% carbon series IS actually a little bit darker then a standard 35%. My tint guy was telling me its about the equivalent of a 27/28% regular tint.

Windows are down here but it's not raining like in the last picture, and you can still see the rear 1/4 window

If you have black interior then it's gonna look darker in certian angles. I have the same tints on mines too and I used to roll down the window a little or open up the sunroof to get some light in everytime i see 5....0.

Right, it's gonna look darker with a black interior if you happen to be lucky enough to have one. I'm probably going 35% on mine in the next couple weeks, a little paranoid about getting stopped for it which is why I'm not going darker but hopefully I'll be alright.

That's what I've done in the past, gotten a fix-it ticket every time. I'm hoping I can avoid the trouble by going a little lighter.
