I have a prestige XR9000 remote but I don't use the factory key/remote. I use an aftermarket one thats smaller because the 2-remote that comes with my alarm is kinda bulky. I believe the new viper ones are a lot thinner.

installers will and can get something called a "black box" that will utilize and bypass the factory immobilizer.

i have a compustar pro w/ all the bells n whistles. i can still use my factory key and its functions.

you will have to go see an alarm installer. i dont have one i can reconmend since im not in texas. but any well known audio/alarm installer should know what it is, as its used on a lot of cars with factory alarms and immobilizers.

since you have a compustar pro as well, i also suggest you get back siren/battery. compustars are only as good as the extra accessories that u get with it to make it a better alarm.
