love the wheels alot better in person. I need everyones advice on lowering. I dont want to lose my current ride but it def needs to be lowered. Its my daily driver and i already have a slammed supra that makes a bunch of noise and looks really good low. Should i leave it stock height and not worry about it or what? Alot of my buddies who have had 2gs in the past say some springs keep the ride and others dont. What do u guys suggest? If anything the df210s I know will lower it a bunch but im not sure if i want to do that on the daily. rca 30 mm maybe??

I was recently in the same boat. Got 18s and needed to lower but did not want my ride to suffer too much. I did a bunch of research and asked questions and what not.
Decided to go df210 and kyb struts. I'm very pleased with the results. The df210 give a nice drop. I would not want to drop it less than the df210 drop. The ride quality has changed but only a little. It's a little stiffer, but not uncomfortable. I was surprised by how well it drives for a lowered car.
I also replaced the lower ball joints, outer tie rods, and caster and control arm bushings. Can't say for sure, but these might have something to do with the quality of my ride as well.
If I threw 20s on it, the ride would be much more noticeably degraded due to bigger wheels and less tire.
The 18s keep us riding fairly smooth.
Long story short, df210 and kyb pairing works for me. And I'm very picky about my ride. Of course I would want it to be factory smooth, but the only way to keep that feeling, is to keep the car stock. Also, the df210/kyb setup is very fairly priced. And if installing yourself, then it's even better. But even if you're not doing the install yourself, it should be 250 to 300 for the install at a good shop. Not too bad.
I do not know how df210 ride on stock struts, but that would ultimately depend on the condition of the stock struts at the time of install. I also don't know anything about the RCA approach to lowering. From what I have read, it's suppose to maintain the stock quality of the ride. If that's true, then that's pretty great.
If you drop yours, it's a matter of opinion of course, but I do think spacers will be needed to get the desired finished look.
Sheesh I talk a lot!
Good luck and keep us posted!

I did df210 and kyb struts. Df210 are more like a 2 inch drop, but mine is a daily driver on 18s as well and I am pleased with the overall ride and there are no rubbing issues for my setup.
The Tanabe nf210 would be the drop springs with less drop than the df210. There are other brand options as well of course.
Def post pics after the drop! Considering spacers?

There are not a lot of coilovers that are as soft as the drop spring options. Even the Tein CS is stiffer than the Tanabe DF210. I too would not drop the 2GS any less than what the DF210 offers. It is a perfect ride height that could pass for stock and maintains comfort well within acceptable. 1.8" in the front and 1.5" in the rear- the very slight rake makes the car look a lot better.
