It looks just like the one by itself in the pic above for LED's .
Just pop it out , if the hazards stop working you got the right one.
BTW i did check and it no longer does flash the lights for the oem alarm.

Did you buy the lexus one from VLED? or did you buy another place with same parts number from ebay (which is cheaper)?

yeah, I would think they were the same. It's just the descriptions for the lexus relay did not mention losing the alarm confirmation (vled site toyota vs. lexus relay).

I just checked....emergency flasher works without key. Now can someone compare the LED relay vs. OEM relay and get the alarm confirmation functionality back? It really helps to locate my car at night in a parking lot.

The relay works properly even if you only have LEDs in the rear.

Well I just put mine in like 15 min ago and mine doesn't work without the key.

I'll check if I blew a fuse because I was doing some other electrical work at the same time, so maybe that's why.

I deleted my post about the key required.

I won't be able to look into this until tomorrow. Going to sleep soon.

Thanks

Default "Houston We HAve A Problem"

Both GS300Rich and I have confirmed that the Relay DOES NOT WORK properly on our cars.

The emergency flasher will ONLY operate with the key in the "ON" position. I swapped the OEM and the V-LED relays back and forth to verify it and this morning Rich verified to me on PM that the relay does not work for him as well.

excluesive,
please let us know when you install yours and let us know if you see this problem.

I suspect the problem is most likely due to one of two issues:

1. A bad batch of relays, or an associated problem related to the supplier.

2. Incompatibility with 2000 and older GS's.

Since excluesive's car and SAM430 are 2001 up and since excluesive ordered his relay at the same time as GS300Rich and I, his feedback will verify both items #1 and #2.

Any others that ordered from V-LED recently please verify if you see this issue. Let us know the year of your GS. 1998, 1999, 2000, etc.

I'll be offline for most of today/tomorrow, but I'll check this thread if get a chance.

Thanks

Another this, I always assumed it was 2 different relays for the hazards and the left/right signal. I guess I was wrong. Either way, I will check back with you guys once I get it in. I hope it works though.

You have a 2001 up, so if my suspicions are correct, then you have a better then 50/50 chance it will work for you.

I'll be installing this relay on a local members 2001 and see what happens.

Then again you never know if it's only 1998-1999 affected.

CRAP!! I got my relay in the mail, but my car is in the shop until Monday. It is a 2000 GS400.

Is it only the hazards that do not work properly?
Does the regular left and right turn indicators flash normal speed?

I can live with not having flashers.

nope, I think you have it backwards. The hazards work fine with the stock relay. The signal-left/right don't work properly, that's what we were trying to fix with the new relay.
