Unless you have the cash to play with I wouldn't worry about adding any stabilizers etc.... They seem like a pretty cool idea and may give you a little more power ( I read a review in Turbo awhile back) where the testing showed a few up on a Suzuki Aerio (sp?) but actually picked up around 10hp on a Rx7 (high revving turbo). Basically it would be interesting to do a before and after dyno on the stabilizer setup but you don't NEED it.

They are relatively expensive as well, I think around $200, so that's a decent chunk of change that could go toward mounts. Btw-if you have the original mounts at 170k you probably haven't noticed the degradation over time, new mounts will probably make it difficult to feel if the car is even running or not.

Nice...I'll get the mounts for now. Dont get me wrong, I do or would like to be tearing up the pavement with all the hp I can get; I'll put that one on the list of things to get. With all the upgrades we do to our cars, why no one has designed a more structural sound motor mount is beside me. I have only seen OEM replacements.

Demands aren't there. Its not an everyday thing where the majority Lexus owners mod their car

Hopefully the last question...

Today I was just playing around and noticed that I could feel the difference of idle with the lights on and off. Would that be the difference of load on the car and bad motor mounts causing me to feel the difference or a drop in power. I was parked when I did the test.

If we can get a big percentage of members to commit and deposit money...I bet someone would be willing to bat.

Which motor mounts are the guys with the big power using? They cannot be using the same that we are if they are pushing big power.

I would just use stock mounts, upgraded mounts are good for holding power because they are very stiff. Stiff mounts transmit vibration and aren't that great if you don't "need" them.

I have a set of upgarded harder rubber motor mounts for the GS4. At least I think it will fit the GS4, but I can't say for sure because I don't have a GS4/430 to test with. I'm also developing a custom set of polyurethane made for the GS3/IS3. Im making it because I need a set badly and nobody on the market makes a set for this car

It is true, nobody makes the really needed upgrades for this car because the demand/need is just not there.

Well the fear is that if I stick to oem and I drive hard with additional power add-ons, I would just keep going through them pretty fast.

How much do they insulate the engine vibrations? Do the gs3s have different mounting points or just different mounts?

Urethane mounts dont insulate engine vibration. If anything, they transmit a heck lot more. My friend uses it in his 600hp Honda civic. At idle, it feels like you have a broken OEM mount. lol. Unless you have a good amount of power, chances are you wont need the mounts. There are a few boosted GS4 owners on here that still utilizes OEM mounts.

I have a similar problem with my 2 month old battery. When on idle it reads 14.3v. When car is off battery rarely stays at 12.5v+. It's always around the 12.2-3v range.

Today was only -2 and my battery couldn't turn the engine. That's ridiculous for a brand new battery.

Alternator is 2 weeks new. Tested and confirmed no parasitic drain.

I noticed that battery is not being charged efficiently it seems. Alternator reads 14v but when shut off, battery immediate drops to 12.2v
