Default VSC lights and car jerk-Help

I drive a 2000 Lexus GS 300 with 94,000 miles. I went to start my car this morning and it felt as if there was no power going to the engine. The check engine, VSC off and VSC lights are on. When I start to drive the car it feels like it is jerking and feels like it could die at anytime especially when it is at a full stop. I know that VSC is the vehicle stability control but never had this issue before. Does anyone know what this problem is? Thank you

Check your codes via DIAGNOSTIC block in engine bay terminal TC & E1 with a paper clip

Dash lights will all flash count the orange engine light only

http://bahamutcars.free.fr/workshop/...nts/index.html

Repair Manual / DIAGNOSTICS / ENGINE this will take you to engine fault code list

Follow the flow charts to fix

Sound like both have TPS issues (throtle postion sensor)

If you can get access to an OBDII scanner that would be your best bet. They used to rent them out at Autozone but they don't do it in Orange County, CA anymore. Call your local one to see if you can use rent theirs.

My GS did the same thing last week and it turned out to be P0057 - bank 2 sensor 2. Before I pulled the code, I did some researching on the forum and it looks like the symptoms you have are in line with what Jason T said and is probably your TPS.

But make sure you pull the code before ordering a bunch of parts. You might also have more than one code. Good luck.

Works well on my '97 JDM JZS161 Aristo

Check your emissions tag on under side of bonnet / hood if says OBD2 then this will not work you will need to use a scanner
