Default car was jumped backward

Gs400 (not mine) was jumped backward and blew all the fuses. fuses were replaced and relays were replaced. fan blower for A/C doesn't work and door locks are acting up when locking, it unlocks. anyone know what the problem could be. ???

thanks in advance

*****. now you have to trace through all your wiring, check all the fusable links, and run tests on your ECU and TCM. As far as the door locks you probably just have to reprogram them or something stupid. Look around and see if you can find out how. The AC fan blower is probably a more serious problem, if the fan was on when it was jumped backwards, being that the hvac is one of the first things to start up when going through accessory power, the motor could be fried, or it could be the actual hvac display/control unit that's fried and not sending the proper signal to the motor.

I didn't know getting jumped backwards would do that. I thought the worst thing that could happen is a little spark coming from the battery terminals. GL to your friend on getting the car back to normal.

confused as to how someone could "jump" a car backwards?

when in doubt, let someone else do it

while i know you're implying the simplicity, i'll just say that i have been attempting to jump a car before and the cables are either diry or the terminals don't really have good indication of pos and neg. it's tough to screw up on most cars nowadays, but not impossible.

and yeah, actually jumping a car with the polarity reversed has a similar but much smaller scale effect as the car getting struck by lightning.

if you jump the car backward worst thing can happen is your whole eletrical get shot... since you replaced all the fuses and relays and still acting weird sounds like your ECU is gone too. i had couple vehicle that was jumped backward somebody try to start the car all when to the dealer and replace the ECU.
