Default Pics of the Wife's GS300 .. 56K death???

We picked this up a little over a month ago. It's a 99, GS300. Pretty much stock at the moment. Mods on the way, in time it'll be hanging with the big boys. Not entirely sure what the plans are, but at least some wheels first. Already upgrade factory audio, added Alpine IVA-D310 , Rockford Amp (old school), Kappa 6.5 in the rear doors, Diamond Audio 6.5 components in the front doors. No sub yet, all coming in due time.

Enjoy the pics and suggestions welcomed on what to do with it.

Also, some pics of my 5 Series, was bone stock, took some time to get it where it is, still a work in progress.

Nice it looks like a good clean slate to start modin, if you choose. It does seem to be really clean.

Thanks all, wife caught the car bug from me. Any car she has had had to be modded in some form or fashion. Definitely gonna start with some subtle changes at first, then the bigger projects when the funds get better.

Only thing we won't do is tint, it had tint on it, but we had to rip it out. Virginia is a PITA when it comes to tint and the money from those tickets can go to other things.

What do you all think about the LED tails. I saw some on a silver GS like this and it looked pretty good, flowed with the silver car real good.

Also, what the difference between these lights (headlights and taillights) and the "upgraded" ones? I know the tails has some subtle difference.

Oh, and thanks for the Welcome, been a member for quite a while, 3.5 yrs, but mostly reading and getting ideas. Will be more active now tho.

Like the Bimmer; GS looks clean and nice choices on the audio.

I'd be careful with alot of the LED tails on Ebay, there are quality issues. Some smoked Sonar LED tails would look good on silver.

Congrats on the new car. E39 Bimmer is still one of the cleanest designs modded. I'm not sure the wheels flow with the rest of the clean and classy mods you have done to the car though.

Either way, enjoy both cars in good health

Yea, I know the rims on the E39 gotta go, but funds are tight at the moment. I had some other rims on the bimmer, but hit a pothole and put a major dent. Got these cheap, thats why I'm rocking them. When the funds allow I'm looking at some EXE Konkourse or Vertini's, with a serious lip.

But now with the Lex, I'm moving away from my car and making the GS my next project. WHEELS WHEELS WHEELS, thats my primary focus first. Well except for the audio/video, had those laying around so they came in handy.

I'm MR. DIY so it'll be fun to give the Lex a go.
