A/C and freon help
2 questions
1. Where does the freon go on the GS3? Is it right under the intake manifold?
2. How do I let freon out? I think I put the freon in the right place, but I think I might have put to much. Now the car goes up and down in idle between 100-200 rmp every couple of seconds when the A/C is on, and the A/C actually feels a little worse then it did before I tried adding freon.
Any help would be appreciated.

2. You're not 'supposed' to vent refrigerant to the atmosphere. You'll just eb enlarging the hole in the ozone. There's also a Federal Law against it. Most shops have a machine to scavenge freon.

since i work for a hvac-r supply house (heating, a/c/and plumbing) i must ask this! WHY WOULD YOU ADD SOMETHING YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT without doing the "legwork or homework"? did u use gauges to put it in or the cans from auto zone? do you know how much pressure on the high and low side you have in there? oh the hot/cold thing........have you cleaned your condenser i would recommend going to a hvac supply place and getting a coil cleaner and cleaning it! but it almost sounds like u tripping the head (also called high) pressure switch! if u can get back to me with your high/low pressures i can probably help you out?
oh yeah and your high and low inlet valves should still have a cap on them one says h for the high and ones says l for the low sorry wasn't trying to yell at u earlier but if i didn't know how to wrench on my car i wouldn't do it without researching it and finding out how to do it first! just my $0.02
