want to sell my GS400 98, how much should I ask for?
I have a GS400, 1998, with NAV, I have only 66,000 miles on it, all scheduled maintenance has been done at DAVENPORT, really perfect condition. non smoker, never wrecked, etc etc etc
I am trying to sell my car, but my problem is, I don't know how much should I ask for it.
The pricing online is all over the place, NADA, Edmund's and KBB are all over the place with this car, from $16,000, all the way down to $9000.
what do you guys think is a fair price.
I am in Plano Texas.
Really appreciate your feedback.

Well, you can't get 16k for it , considering that 03 GS430 with 40k miles on them are selling for $19-23k.
Go to ebay and see what similar cars actually sold for, then add $3k to that price and negotiate down a little bit from that price.

If you want to move it quickly, I would use that ebay advice and also check autotrader and cars.com - That should give you an idea on what they are listing for in your area, and nationally. If you list online, expect that your buyer will NOT be from your area. Have a LOT of pictures taken, and all your maintenance records ready to present.
Make sure to have the car listed for a price YOU would be willing to pay. That will keep a large number of potential buyers interested, and ensure that your car won't stay listed for months. Furthermore, ignore those emails that ask you to reply with the lowest you're willing to go right off the bat. Those are NOT buyers that you want to deal with, as they will nit pick everything.
Best of luck selling.

autotrader.com is a waste of time, never once had one person ever respond to my ad from there. And gettin it financed is gonna be near impossible for anyone if you try and get 12k or more. I def think it would sell for 10-11k no prob. Put it on craigslist and you'll get some bites.

I disagree about autotrader being a bad idea. I sold a 99 RX300 2 years ago on autotrader. First, I checked what private sellers within a 250 mile radius of my hometown were selling theirs for. Autotrader will tell you the min, max, and average price of them within any mile radius you want, and for dealers, or private parties. It's a great way to gauge realistic prices as opposed to ebay No I don't have autotrader stock, but I priced my RX in the lower half of private prices at the time and it was outta my driveway in 3 weeks
