Wow Bob I don't know what to say. Truely a work of art. Hard to see the polished triangles in the pics but I can only imagine how it looks in person. Did you sell your old wheels yet??

If I remember correctly the exhaust on Bob's GS is a custom made Magnaflow creation.

I can see the blue powdercoat of the inner wheel showing through the spokes! Your attention to detail is amazing. It really shows in the final product. Great job, man!

Default Wow! Damn! Oh My!

A few of you knew from seeing the car at ToyotaFest: I made another wheel change! I loved the old wheels, but I had the opportunity to own the first and only set of Zone 10 forged three-piece wheels on the road (at least for the moment), so I couldn't pass it up.

I also dropped the car some more. The rear H&R coilovers are now all the way down - in fact, I disassembled them and removed the lower jamb nut, so now the spring perch nut is bottomed-out on the threads. I turned the front coilovers down four turns (there are enough threads to slam the front another 3/4"). The car is low enough now that the tires actually 'tuck' inside the fenders a bit (zero tire gap) but it's difficult to see due to the mild tire stretch.

Wheels are Zone 10 style, brushed with polished windows (I only had the "triangles" polished) with chrome outer rims and blue powder coated inner rims (I actually re-used the inner rims from my old Zone 8s). I made the new wheels 5mm more aggressive front & rear than my previous set; the rear wheels in particular are extremely flush (I love this look).

Front 20x9.5 2.5" lip, 255/30-20 Toyo Proxes 4
Rear 20x11.5 4.0" lip, 295/25-20 Toyo Proxes 4

Anyway, the car was well-received at ToyotaFest (won first in the GS category ) which was unexpected, but validating. I don't drive it much any more, but I drove it to the office today and the weather was cooperative, so I snapped a few shots. It's not VIP... I don't know what style it is, but I sometimes I can't believe this is my car!

Of course, props go out to Joe at Backyard Creations (who painted the car two years ago) and Stan at Toyo Tires. Couldn't have done it without you!

The pics...

That's crazy! Bob, you and Adrian give me inspiration each time with your innovative ideas. Very nicely done!
