Okay forgive me for leaving, am ready to come back so help me pick one.......
I foolishly sold my GS(in mysig) last december and i seriously have felt very miserable since then. i got a LS400 which i have to admit is a blast to drive. 250,000km and it drives like brand new. no noise shake, nothing... but am missing you guys too much
I just finished school and am house hunting, so my comeback plan of a GS430 with low mileage($20-$25,000) has been erased.(Besides the damn cars are the same from 98-05)
Priorities have been set and its time to get back into a GS. I have a budget of about $10,000-$11,000 for a GS400 (Yes, am buying a GS400 so i get no buyers remorse for getting a GS300).
Anyways, being the great haggler that i am, i came across two amazing deals within their categories and i need help to decide..
OPTION 1: 1998 GS400 Cinnabar Pearl/Tan(posted this last week)
-same color as my previous GS(in my sig)
-recent $4000 paintjob with receipt.
-all services and maintenance done with reciepts.
-123,000km (76,000miles)
-seller agreed to $10,000 plus $490 for shipping. ( i can still get him to $10000 for everything)
OPTION 2: 1999 GS400 Black/Tan
i have nothing to say about this but three things.
-car has 189,000km(which was where my GS was when i sold it so i don't see that as a problem)
-OWNER IS SECOND OWNER AND WORKS FOR A LEXUS DEALER WITH STACKS OF COMPLETE MAINTENANCE RECORDS.
-CONVINCED SELLER TO GIVE IT TO ME FOR $7500( even though he had an offer as high as $9000). He really loved my Lexus enthusiasm and fantasy(didn't know i already had the same car a few months back) as a student.
I plan on keeping either one i get for at least 2years. It is very rare to find sweet deals like this in Canada especially for GSs.(we don't have as much as u guys over there so there are rare).
Help me decide guys.
-black/Tan or Cinnabar Pearl/Tan?
-189,000km with a record so impeccable Jesus would complain/ 123,000km with another record you would think its a miracle?
-$7500/$10,500?
-save $2500 or not?
-try new color/fall in love over again with my beautiful rosy cinnabar pearl?
Help me decide CL. I miss u guys so much (the LS forum is filled with grandpas, they can go for a week with no activity in their threads)
Color is not an option as i love both very much. The $2500 difference is not exactly a saving considering the difference in mileage but then again, these mileages mean nothing with the GSs reputation.
Help me decide.....which would you pick?

I think you will really enjoy the GS400. It sounds like any of those is a great deal. I have a cinnabar gs400 and love it. Its a real unique color. I personally would go for the cinnabar one. You use to have cinnabar you know how nice it looks freshly waxed

Lexus Test Driver
get the black one.
personally, i wouldn't get a car that has been repainted. must have been not cared for in order for it to get a new paint job, plus u never know if the paint job was for any body work. that's imho.
