I just bought one (Allen). Went on a ride and came back to REI and look at some Yakimas. Not looking to mount a hitch or a roof. wound up having to squeeze it underneath the spoiler. What are you using with your GS? If you have a spoiler, pics of fitment would be awesome!

I tried fitting a regular bike rack onto the trunk of my GS with factory spoiler and there was no way I was going to keep it. It would have scratched the crap out of the car eventually. Roof would have been the only way I would have went if any.

tried to use a saris to haul my ellsworth but thankfully we tried on my friends q45. And after seeing all the scratches after driving 3 hours we ended up using his old subaru next time we went up VT.

so if you dont want any scratches on trunk put the bike inside. Or bum a ride with a friend.

i have a suv for it.
but since you're asking, if my GS wasnt mod'd, i'd get roof mount. i think hitch mounts look better on suv's and trucks.

For now, I just break down the bike and it fits nicely in the trunk

I forgot to mention I cut pieces of a microfiber towel up, and put them under and on all contact points with the paint.

You'll need the Q clips (46 and 53). I just installed mine this weekend. Will post pics once the wheels/drop is on
