Default Shift **** Questions

Tried looking in search but didnt really find what i was looking for...

I have a 2000 GS300 with the taupe/tan interior...

First Question, what is the actual type or colour of wood used?

Second Question, what other model cars of Lexus or Toyota shift ***** are interchangable with the 2000 GS300?

Thanks

I read the actual name of the wood somewhere on here but can't remember where. I know a lot of the other shift ***** are compatible. I can't tell you specifically which ones but I think the RX don't fit. I'm pretty sure the 1IS and 2IS fit. I don't know, I let someone who knows for sure chime in.

I've read people calling it Burl wood.

I have an all wood RX330 ****, it did not fit originally but I took the chrome plastic bottom piece and cut 90% of it off. Now it fits perfect and looks awesome.

**Edit - Just took a pic of it. It sits low and it looks sporty, I love it.

I recently went on the shift **** spree and ordered a few different ones on ebay.

The GS shift **** will also work with the ES and LS and vice versa. I have the same **** as chuckb from a new GS and I like it the most because of its circular design. I got it in black though on ebay for 30 bucks shipped.

I thought about getting the 3GS/2IS shiftknob but good god are they expensive! I got MOMO instead. Had it for a week and already had a few "is that a manual?" comments lol.

PS: thanks to Wringo for the inspiration.

Default Rx330 ****..

Hey Euphoric- thats the **** i sold u.. it looks great man.. Damn maybe i should have took the chrome off and kept it.. I just installed a SC430 **** and it fits better than the Rx330 **** with the chrome but still hits the bezel a little bit when putting it into park.. I gotta do a search to see how to fix this problem.. Anyways, glad ur happy with the ****..

anyone know which is the EXACT or closest to exact match in wood type/colour to the tan interior of a 2nd gen gs???

To my understanding there are 3 different shades of wood?
light/dark/cherry - which does the 2000 gs300 tan interior use?

I pay very close attention to minor details such as this.... as in chuckb's photos look at the difference in wood colour between the steering wheel/stick on wood ash tray/and center console .. that would drive me crazy!
