My car was driving fine all day yesterday, until i go to dinner and park my car outside for a couple hours. After dinner i notice my car acting a little funny...the shift gauge on my dash board is flickering...specifically "R" "N" "D". So i leave it on "D" and see if i can try and drive off...i notice hesitation, so then i try turning off the car for a couple minutes hoping it might just go away. Thing is, i can't get the shifter to "P" b/c it won't let me...i can get as far as "N". Finally, after turning the car off again (while still on "D"), i was able to to shift to "P". I turn on the car again and my VSC ON and VSC OFF light is on, along with my MALFUNCTION light. Luckily, i wasn't too far away from my house and i drive all the way home taking the local roads and avoiding the highway. When i get home, i have the same problems putting the car to "P" and notice there is some stuttering clicking sounds coming from the shifter area. I use the same methods getting the car to "P" once again and leave my car in the garage.

Im going to bring in the car to my mechanic this week to scan the OBDII and see whats going on, but i did some researching on the forums and found that it might be the shift selenoid valves?

Would really appreciate if the CL experts would chime in once again and save the day!

Anyone know where i can get a shift selenoid at a decent price? Dealer quoted me like $350/each and a distributor for Rostra here in Toronto quoted me $250/kit (set of 2 selenoids).
