Anyone running 235/50/17 on stock 17s?
Happy New Year to everyone. I remember seeing a thread or two about this, but for some reason, I can't find seem to find them when I search. Is anyone running 235/50/17 on stock 17s? The stock size is 235/45/17, and according to the tire calculator, the odometer will read 3.7% too slow. Aside from that issue, though, can it be done? Will the car look funny (too high)? Any other issues?

I did. I compared this size with the standard GS400 size 225/55/16 (remember that 17" was an option) and the diff. is only 1.95%. It rode a lot better with a slightly taller side wall. No rubbings at all.
Good luck.

Interesting. I had forgotten that the stock 16s with 225/55/16 are slightly larger in diameter than the stock 17s with 235/45/17.
Would you happen to have any pictures with the tires on the car? I'd like to see if the difference in ride height is noticeable.
