need to replace the sub on my 01 GS430 with ML. anyone know what size is it? I like to buy one ahead of time before taking the backseat apart. I want to guess 10", but want to make sure. thanks

Well, an update - after discussing this with Lexus Corporate for a few months, and pointing out to them that there is a TSIB on this problem, they finally agreed to replace the amp for free. So hopefully that will fix the problem.

I used to to do this to my friends cars when they would let me borrow them. Crank the stereo up to 90% and then turn the car off. Scared the crap out of them when they got back in and started it.

I turn the sound to almost nothing and when I start the car back up I get WAKE UP from the speakers lol. DK what it is and I dont have ML. I have my set button setup as a mute so I just start the car and hit that as soon as I turn the key lol

Okay... sorry to bring back an "older" thread- but I'm having this problem with my ML system now. My radio or cd will be ON, and there's no sound... Then, like 3-4-5 mins later it comes on, usualy the same volume as it was on prior. But, NOW... it's started to come on FULL VOLUME, overload the ML amp, and not come back on for like 5-10 mins. What's up with these TSB #'s --> AU001-01, AU001-02, and AU001-06 ?

Honestly, it SEEMS that the connection to the ML is being disrupted somehow... like a wire is loose, but I don't know.

Can anybody help me out? What should I do ? How can I access the OEM amp to check and see if something's coming unplugged or not ?

The random full volume problem has startled the **** out of me several times now lol. It makes me think twice about using the stereo!
