Default 98 GS400 with shaved tail lights

Hello Everyone,
I need to know what everyone thinks about a rear spoiler for my car I am thinking about either a factory rear spoiler or a Toyota Team Europe lip spoiler. I bought a TTE lip spoiler and taped it to my car to get a better idea but the spoiler is not painted to match my car yet. Since I have shaved tail lights and no emblems on the car, I need your opinion on which spoiler to use. I will not be getting any body kits so that kind of limits my decision on the rear spoiler. Click on the link below or copy and paste it to view additional pictures of my car. Thanks and have a happy holidays

I like the TTE lip spoiler, looks very nice.
By the way, the 1st link doesn't work.

IMO...since your car is debadged, I would go with the tte spoiler. I personally think the factory spoiler looks strange on cars that have been debadged. Quick question about your car: what kind of exhaust is that or what kind of tips did you buy, just never have seen them before, but they look sweet.

Not sure what you mean by 'shaved' tail lights, but the TTE spoiler doesn't do it for me - looks too tacked on. But it probably fits your 'clean' look more though.

Hey LS, I have my car debadged and personally like my factory spoiler better than the lip one, but either one looks better than nothing.
I hate those ugly lights on the trunk too, but I've been afraid of "shaving" it beacuse I'm afraid of 3 thihgs:
1. bondo cracking over time. Is that any other way to achieve that?
2. Paint match not being the same as the spoiler and rest of car. Where did you get it done? It looks perfect from the pics.
3. Computer lighting up the "burned" light in the dash after removing the trunk lights. How did you fool the computer?

Another thing: Where did you get the clear side markers in the front fenders?

I doubt you'll answer my questions, but I would appreciate it if you do.

Merry Christmas to you all.

Bit, his inner red tail lights are gone; kind of Mercedes-esque....

Definately get the TTE spoiler put on.. The only other thing I wouldn't mind seeing is the "L" put back on the rear.. Just doesn't look right unless the "L" is there IMO but that could be just me..

Otherwise a very different vehicle without the inner round rear lights.. Not my cup of tea but it looks ok!

I think the TTE spoiler would look GREAT on that car.

Looks the body shop did an awesome job shaving those rear lights off! Almost fooled a couple of members (me included) into thinking that nothing was changed!

Hahaha.....just showed your pics to a couple of my friends who are "car people" and have seen my GS many times and no one could tell what the custom mod on the car was!!

I didn't see what you meant by shaved taillights until someone clarified as well, but now that I know that car looks strikingly different!!

Default Looks great!

Really like the cleaner look without the redundant trunk lights – I’ve never liked them. If I thought I could get the “perfection” that you’ve achieved, I’d have mine removed tomorrow.

Personally, I don’t care for the spoiler you pictured and I have a hard time visualizing the stock spoiler on that clean trunk, but I’d lean that way. I agree with 2SAVVY, if it were me, I’d put the “L” back on. Do like the clean look though – whoever filled in that trunk did a damn fine job as far as I can tell.

I agree with Dex, a Mercedes-like appearance. Great work, too!!!

I'm not much of a spoiler guy, but I, too, prefer the TTE if you're gonna have one.

First try turning the monitor on....Maybe also try plugging the monitor in...It also might be the cord going into your computer. If all that doesn't work, call tech support.
