Default did 2001 GS300's factory alarm system

did 2001 GS300's (and RX300's)factory alarm system
have glass breakage sensor?

for example, if someone breaks the door
window with a fist(or a hammer), is the
alarm supposed to start honking?

Thanks!

P.S. please don't ask me why I'm asking about glass breakage on both RX300 and GS300...

Nope. No glass breakage, or shock sensor. Those can be had from an aftermarket company. There is one compnay that makes sensors and even remote start that plugs right into the Lexus factory alarm, and utilize the same remote.

Only alarm would go off is if someone tried to open the door, or unlock the locks from the inside when the system is armed.

I think I saw a video of this on a TC but what about starting procedures? Do you tap the brake and the car shuts off? Then you can restart it?

Uses the same Lexus remote, and same range. Just tap the lock button 3 times to start the car... seen in action a few times, works great.

No, you put the key in place, and press the desired memory setting, and the its in driver mode. However, if you jump in it, and touch the brakes (to shift from park for example) without doing what i had just mentioned, it will turn off.

nevermind, stupid me. just read the manual...
1. open all windows
2. set the system as described above. (after 30 seconds, the indicator light starts flashing and the system is set) BE SURE TO WAIT UNTIL THE LIGHT INDICATOR STARTS FLASHING
4. unlock one of the doors from the inside through one of the opened windows. THE SYSTEM SHOULD ACTIVATE THE ALARM.
5. if the system does not work properly, have it checked by your Lexus dealer.
