Default can we use the oven to seperate our taillight lens from the housing?

I'd like to seperate the housing from the lens. This way I can remove the orange portion. Any help would be quite helpful. Any temperature advice? I know this technique has been used on headlamps.

These are the 98-00 style lamps

I think people who've cleared their 98-00 tails have used a Dremel.

People have melted their tail lights using heat. Most people use a Dremel and glue it back up.

yes the oven method works, but very hard and the lens crack very easily. i saw it done once and it was no fun, very very hard. do it at your own risk.

I did the same exact mod to my 2nd Gen GS 6 months before I sold it. I used a heat gun to separate the lens and to put it back on I used an "all purpose" silicon adhesive, it's black and you can buy it at any auto parts store. I never had any moisture in the tail lights ! If I find pics I will post them up
