hey guys i have had 20's for years now and i can never seem to get a perfect balance and all my wheels where never bent why is it? they all keep telling me you can never get a perfect balance whith such a large rim but some car manufactures have 20's standard ex: plymouth prowler,mb,bmw . i am so tired of the steering wheel shaking i am really considerig goin back to factory 17's but i just love the look of 20's. any suggestions?

Before I lowered my car I had PERFECT balancing, but when I lowered my car, it wasn't quite right anymore. I have 99% free from shaking, its good enough for me.

I'm assuming that you have to use stickey weights on your rims instead of the hanging weights. Since this is the case, you need to find a shop that has a computerized balancing machine. Not too many shops have them because I think there upwards of $15,000. What the computer does is spin the wheel, and then tell you exactly where to put the weight. I also think that they spin these rims at a higher speed to get a better balance out of them while at highway speeds and such. There's a place I take my Cobra rims to, Merchants Tire and Auto Center, here in Maryland and they do the job just fine. The more expensive machines also tell you whether or not the rim is actually bent or not also. Hope this helps
