Can I use the internet through the car phone on my laptop?
Is it possible to connect to the internet through the phone jack. It's not a phone jack but it is a LAN jack. I have a '99 GS400 with the phone option in the center arm rest. There is two LAN jacks, one is being used by the phone. If anybody tried it before and had success, let me know. I tried to connect to it and nothing seem to work. However the phone is not set up to call out, only by credit card.

Yes, there is a microwave device that pops out of the top of your GS (like a big full size satellite dish) when you plug into it.
Just try again, maybe turn the plug around!
Make sure to keep your sunroof closed or you'll feel yourself getting heated up though.

I use my Samsung a900 as a modem and i do NOT pay for the PAM plan. If you have Sprint and can get this phone, you can go online for free without subscribing to Sprint's network. Just don't go crazy and use it for 10 hours a day.
