Default Has anyone repainted the hood?

I found a GS around where I live for a pretty decent deal and I am thinking about buying it, except it has horrible rock chips on the bumper/hood. The bumper seems fine and doenst bug me much but the hood is chipped and its starting to rust from the chips.... . So does anyone know how much it is to repaint just the hood (if it is possible to match the paint on it)?

TIA.

It depends on the damage? I'm figuring $200.-300.00 depending on the shop and prep work?

thats what I figured too...i just hope i can find a painter who can match the color. if it wasnt a GS, Id just slap on a CF hood and call it a day but CF hood and a GS...

anyone else have any experience? Im sure some of you guys cruise on the highway a lot and get rock chips.

Slap on the CF hood and paint it. Best of both worlds - weight savings and no more rusty hoods.

You still get the terrible stone chips Plus PIA of no hood struts or finding some that will match.

I had my front bumper and hood resprayed and then clearbra'd. Clearbra is the best $$$ spent. I paid $700 for the hood, bumper, and grill preped & painted and carbon fiber Abflug lip installed.

Hey svt5150, did you get your whole hood clear bra'd or just the leading edge? How much did it cost for the clear bra?

Clear Bra was around $600 for the front bumper, partial hood, and side mirrors. Sam @ Premire Mobile did the work. Probably one of the best. He has done full Enzo wraps and Carrera GT's, etc...

Heres some pics of the car...
