removing console with sunroof buttons
does any one know how to remove the console in roof where the sunroof buttons are? i want to pad in there as there's a rattling noise.

Yes, If memory serves me correctly, there two screws that are right behind the HOMELINK buttons. Just have to stick a screw driver tip, and open that part, and it comes down, exposing the screws. If it still holds, then open the clear lense, and you will see more screws. (im getting mixed up here between my GS, and my 98 LS). I installed amber moodlights using sunroof as the source, and been the best mod i've ever done as far as the interior is concerned.

GsCrazy or anyone else for that matter, did you get this rattle resolved? I got the rattle coming from the sunroof shade and in the area of the Homelink buttons and rearview mirror. The rattle I hear far most is coming from that area where the buttons and rearview mirror is mounted. There's a thin plastic cover which shields where the mirror is mounted that was loose. I plugged that up but the rattle continued.
