Default fan is always on when car is running?(cooling radiator)

ive got a 2000 gs 300 with 100k on it. i've been hearing the fan running as soon as i start up, when im at a light or stopped in a parking lot. i have new timingbelt, waterpump, thermostat all changed about 3 mos ago.
why would the fan seem to be running most of the time im driving. i've had the car for about 7mos now and i just began to hear the fan running constantly. it doesn't run while the car is off and i don't drive hard all the time. can anyone give advice?

ps... i do live in florida and its not to hot here now in jacksonville and ive heard the fan for about 3wks.

my car is a 430, but it has to sit for a while for the fan to come on and it doesn't stay on long when it does kick in.

maybe the temp sensor switch is bad.

Not positive but isn't the fan always on with the A/C? Is it still on when you turn your A/C off?

Default ES300 fan goes on as soon as the car is turned on

Hi I have a Lexus ES300 and the fun goes on as soon as the car is turned on (even when A/C is off) and when the car is not on, the fan still remains on for a while. I see a lot of posts and suggestions - but no one has stated what the cause of the problem is. Can someone please post what the root of the problem is. Thanks a million.

There is a sensor at the bottom of the radiator on the driver side. Unplug the connector to it and see if the fans stop. It may have gone bad and is holding a closed connection. If it stops replace the sensor, if it doesn't stop the relay could be stuck/sticking like previously mentioned.

I have the same problem. It sure seems like no one has found the issue with the fan staying on. There are some people here with this type of problems and spent money on parts that did not fixed the issues. What the hell could it be???

guys.. the answer is the fan relay..

If u dont have one connected.. ur fan will run constant.

Lower pass side on the radiator i believe.. check that the relay is connected or that u even have one there..

If not.. go to autozone and hook one up.. cost like around 60 to 70 bucksss

it should solve ur problem

went thru this.. a while ago..

Thanks! But i have checked the relays and switched them with my other Gs and is still the same.
I have also tried the engine ecu and is still the same. There are some people who have checked the relays and switched them. Also changed the engine coolant, fan switch and still fan on. What the hells going on with these cars? This is the strangest problem i have encountered. Please someone out there who have went thru this, Please give me some answers? Thank you!

Is there a coolant fan module/ecu on these cars? If there is, Please let me know where it's hiding?
