Wheel Spacers, Who has put them on??
I am considering putting on wheel spacers (H&R) on the rear but am wondering how much labor it involves.. I asked a tech and they said they have to take apart a lot of the rear (brakes, calipers...etc) to get to the old hub and then remove the studs and put in the longer ones... then after that they put on the spacers... Someone else mentioned that all you do is attach the new spacer to the old studs and then attach the wheel to the spacer's studs?? Which one is it? Do you replace the car's existing studs or does the spacer already have them on it? And are the H&R spacers the same ones as the Rod Millen spacers?

There are two kinds of spacers. One requires longer studs the other one use the studs on the spacer. If you are using the spacers that are smaller than 15mm, you'll need longer studs. Otherwise, you can choose either one.
It's no big deal to replace the studs. I just replaced my rear rotors and pads. It took me about 2 hours with just hand tools

I used the 1" in the rear on a GS400 and they are a little too wide. Probably 1/2 to 3/4" would be better. Mine use the existing bolts and were an easy install
