My guy quotes $225 for the whole car any % I want.

I would say yours is a bit high but they are removing your old tint so maybe it's inline... ?

In most cases the cost of the job depends on the quality of the film and the warranty that comes with it, not the VLT percentage you choose. I had all four windows and my rear window tinted with the highest quality film I could find in Little Rock, Arkansas and it came with a lifetime product and installation warranty. Its around 20% but I could have gotten the same line of film in anywhere from 5% to 35% for the same $200+tax. The cheap dyed film would have cost me something like $100 but after a couple of years it more than likely would have faded and turned purple. Don't cheap out when it comes to tint!

LILS ..i got my windows tinted with 2 layers of LLumar tint for like $250 llumar is one of the best tint makers out there cause it will never fade (lifetime warranty) also if you already have tint to be removed it is costly make sure the rear window is steamed off and not ripped off cause you will loose the rear defroster on the window so be sure your tinter knows what he's doing

I just got quoted $250 ($190 install, 60 to remove old) for all around, any % I chose. And that includes removing the old and installing LLumar with lifetime, except on the rear, he has to order in ceramic so as to not jack up the navigation. Ive had 3 cars done there and they turn out pretty good. I think Im going to go 20% rears and 50% front. just had a accord done two weeks ago and looks pretty good, without catching the cops attention.

i got mine done at work(dealer) for $100.00. 20% all the way around.

EDIT:

It's a pain to remove the old tint, so that's why it might be so expensive. Last time I had to do that, those guys charged me $150.00 for the whole thing.

Nice to work at the dealership.

I had 5% on all 5 windows put on 2 years ago for $140 and last month had it removed and they put on 20% all around for $180. Couldn't see out the back at night when backing up. I'm not a kid anymore
