Default swing it out with a torsen LSD?

with the 3.76 torsen lsd pimpkin, is it easier to whip it out on a left turn? and slightly harder to do it on a right turn?

cause from what i understand the torsen works when it feels the rear right wheel starts to spin faster. so on a left turn the rear right will lose traction (when giving lots of gas) easier, therefore easier to spin out on left turn.

am i right or wrong?

You're partially right, however there is misconception here in what you're talking about.
It does not matter what way you turn left or right, lsd works the same either way you turn, there is no such thing like easier on left turn and harder on right

I've had the LSD in my car for a week now, and I've had the same feeling, that it's easier to provoke massive oversteer in one direction versus the other. But remember, no two corners have exactly the same grip and that will infulence your opinion. I'll have to keep playing with it around corners and see if my opinion changes.

that's my understanding as well, power just shift from one side to the other, there is no "better" or "more powerful" side.

if anything, i find making right turns harder in my case with the supra tt unit. but that's because when making right turns you usually have to turn the steering wheel more and with the same amount of power, the rear goes out more easily

2 of my 3 vehicles have a form of LSD. The third is my GS. The other 2 don't don't care if you are turning left or right, they do the same thing. The GS definitely acts different between left and right handed turns.

Remember when you do a left handed turn you have to cross a lane and when you do a right handed turn you don't, this might be causing your misconception.

If this isn't the case than you might have worn out clutches in the LSD.

Thanks for the input guys!

ok.. lets take the setting off the road..

if its in a empty wide open space. and making the same angle turn left and same angle right with applying enough gas to slide out the rear, will the left turn be any different cause the passanger rear tire should lose traction first because thats the wheel the torsen is working off of? but from what i'm reading the differnece is so small... its not noticable.

as for "power just shift from one side to the other", isnt the right wheel the "MAIN" power right before it shifts to the left? so maybe... easier? haha... just a idea..

and signs of warn out clutch causes the LSD to sometimes work and sometimes doesnt.. correct?

I don't have an LSD, but just from driving and letting the back push into the line on turns rather than get pulled in I think I can comment on the difference. Right turns are shorter and tighter. You have less time time to do the steering of the turn as well as brake and accelerate into and out of the turn. Left turns give you more time for everything, and don't require as drastic an adjustment due to the longer curve of the turns. Try a left turn on a one way to one way and my bet is the difference in ease diminishes to nothing.
