Hey Will,
I can see where your going, I love that grey too. I looked for so long for a grey SD but gave up as most were just to beat up for my taste.
If I were going to repaint a car at this point, coming from black I would do a black saphire, the one that has a midnight blue to it in the sun, although it can look dusty too in the wrong light.
Make sure you post pics of the paint job and maybe even some shots of the process... that would be cool.
