Default To buy or not to buy?

Ok guys. I need ya'lls GS expertese(sp?). I found this GS in my area, im talking to the guy about getting it. I started the car, but have not test drove it. Heres a link to autotrader of the car, and im not sure if Autotrader is ok, but its just a link to give you guys a feel of what the car looks like. For the price of 9500 (non negotiable), i think its a great deal. Whats ya'lls input?

I'm not going to say "yea" or "nay". The car looks pretty good, mileage is reasonable for a 1998 and it is a V8. The price is right. Take the VIN to Lexus and run the service records. Perhaps even spend the $8.00 or so for a complete CarFax report. Good Luck.

As long as that car has had all maintenance done and has a clean record from carfax and dealer that car's a steal.

Yeah, like the others said, take the VIN to Lexus and get a print out of the service history. If the car has been serviced at Lexus, this will tell the car's life story.

I can run the national history on the car for you tomorrow. I work at a Lexus dealership here in Houston. I'll look for this thread tomorrow when i'm at work.

Speaking of beating to the punch i saw that car a week or two ago, and sent the seller an e-mail as i was interested. But he never responded to my email. I think it's a great deal especially with it having the Nav. Alas I found a one owner GS4 with all service records in Spectra Mica Blue with a a little more miles but couldnt pass up the price. Good luck with the car. I would get the service records if you can and run a Carfax.

Hah thanks all, i'll be waiting for subparrnd response, and i did see it in person. What i also like about it is that theres no smoke smell, so i'm assuming the previous owners werent smokers. O and the rims are 18" Motegis, not 17.
