Default RMM engine cover owners.... help

Whats up fellow members, I have a quick question. I bought a RMM engine cover , and am trying to put the thing on. I took off the old engine cover, and it totally does not seem to fit. But it does fit snug over the exisiting cover. So is the thing supposed to only go over the existing cover? And if so, how? Because the stock cover has two bolts and two studs to mount it, and..... anyways, I know somebody has to know what I am talking about.
Thanks!

You need the RMM spacers to mount this thing and if you don't have the RMM wants like a $129.00 for the spacers

I never ran into this problem. But, no, not supposed to go over old engine cover.

Good Luck,
Jonny

Default spacers

It should fit fine, just of course remove the old cover. Check which spacer you have in certain areas. I think I can recall that two of the four are longer so you will have to do stair steps. The longer ones being on the left and the shorter being on the right. good luck

Hey Jonny, I actually bought this from you a while back. ( yeah finally getting around to putting it on) You did not have any problems? It seems when I pull the stock one off, and put this one on, it hits the manifold. And also the two studs that come up do not come up through the covers holes. What kind of spacers am I supposed to have?

Hey man,

Don't recall these spacers but I will take a look around for them. If RMM is really expensive I am sure you could get someone to measure them and check the thread and find one at a specialty store.
