Default stock alarm good enough?

my sisters BF's car just got broken into this morning and i was thinking about my alarm. so i was just wondering how hard is it to break into the GS. is there some ways to prevent this. i used to own a civic and i had an alarm, rerouted the hood release cable, keyless door handles and put in a fuel pump cut switch. will i have to reroute my hood release cable or is it not accessable from outside? another question is if the stock alarm is good enough or should i get an after market one? i was reading that the stock alarm is almost like the after market alarms but just with out a shock sensor. and something like the after market ones have problems with the stock actuators or something. please lmk what u guys think i should do and if i will need to reroute the hood cable. thanx

Really no alarm is good enough if they want it bad enough, they will get it alarm or not. You can always mount another flashing LED more visable so it will catch their EYES. If you plan on going aftermarket I would get a VIPER 791 as I think it is the best one made to date

Yes indeed The stock system is crap by itself. Now it can be defeated by theives. The Viper does work in conjuction with the stock system if you want double protection.

Anybody got the LMW's stock alarm upgrades? Was looking into them, but they are in the process of retooling them. They said they will send off an e-mail when the improved line is ready.

It comes with a very bright blue led, your installer forgot to install it

What would you hook up your "fake alarm LEDs" too?
The original stock LEDs?

The brain of the alarm system is not under the hood. Most aftermarket systems have a battery back up in the event a theif disconnects the battery. The back-up will keep the alarm active.
