Default Black on Black or Black on Silver?

Im new to this forum and I recently got a 2001 Black GS300 with black interior. My first mod ( I guess you can call it) was tint. Now my next upgrade is wheels Im really stuck on this decision because I was thinking about getting 20" Work Euroline SLs but they only come in silver I was wondering do you think they would look good powdercoated black? I've seen some amazing cars with both silver rims and black rims.

welcome to CL and congrats on your purchase. I personally think the silver Work Euro's SL would definitely look hot against your black GS...but then its all a matter of personal preference.

If the silver is that brushed finish than yes that would look great on blk imo but not so much plain silver, I still Love blk face with polished or chrome lips against blk cars and think that would look really hot especially with the style of that Work SL...good luck

I agree, brushed SLs would look better. if you search, a few GS members recently installed Work SLs

now i'm a bit biased as I love the black on black.....

Lowenhart LD1's powdercoated to a gloss black

soon to swap out w/ Jline Krowne's powdercoated black

but if you ask me.... I'd get the SL's in a diamond cut if all possible..... although i'm extremely curious as to what the SL's would look like in black.

It's a personal choice, the silver looks classy, the blacks look stealthy. Tough decision.

speaking from experience i have the EUROLINE SL's diamond cut and they look amazing. i wouldnt do them black simply because you would lose alot of the styling of the wheels. if you look close at my wheel it actually has 3 different finishes on one wheel. the lip is polished. the face is diamond cut. and the edge of the spokes are silver powdercoat or paint. you can also see the indentation lines on the wheel spoke itself and it is also painted silver. if you were to do a black wheel (which can look really good or really bad depending on wheel selection) pick one with a little less intricate styling on the wheel itself. that is my personal opinion and knowing the EUROLINE SL from first hand experience i think it wouldnt look right black...
