When I look at my Lsportline body kit,.... or any GS with bodykit, everywhere seems to be so nice.. but one thing keep on getting to me.... why can't we change the side mirror style? IS300 has a much more sporty one.. so is Bimmer 3 series..... I think one would look awesome on a GS along with the bodykit. What do you think?

There are some manufacturers that do (in Japan)...but usually, you loose the electronics and the heat feature...(at least on the cheap ones)...

Personally, I think it's a dumb and poinless mod. It's not like the rear view mirrors on an Lexus cars look bad...besides, why the hell would you want to copy a BMW M3?

You could always do a custom IS to GS mirror mod...

i don't mean to copy an M3... I just think it would look nice along with the body kit. i didn't know there is heat feature in our mirror tho what does it do?

I don't know if all the GS's have it, but the ones that do, the mirrors have a defroster feature...at least mine do...but living in Southern California, I don't think I'll be using it anytime soon...I don't know if it's automatic or it's linked to the heated seats (hmmm maybe I should RTFM?) but I know it has it...

I say just leave the mirrors as it...there's really no need to change sideview mirrors...that's a ricer/euroricer thing to do...

manaray, side mirror defrost comes on when you switch your windshield defroster on (which also will turn the a/c on at highest setting.......do not be frightened of the loud noise

Didn't know they came on with the front defroster. Thanks Mooretorque.

They will also come on when you use the rear defroster.
