Gato, time to add your 2001 Black Cherry to the Cherry Poppin' Gang. There's just a few of us, since the color is so rare. Even looks aftermarket to many non-Lexus owners.
Interesting that many of the Black Cherries in CL are 2001 models. Does anyone know the first year that they made the GS in this color, and also the last year? 2001 must have been the first year, eh? I think GSing is the O.G. of the Cherry Poppers in CL...since he was the original inspiration for most Black Cherry owners.
Any other new Black Cherry owners out there? Any updated pix from the existing gang? (Poppa Nate, I know you have some really nice pictures of your car that are not in this thread...post 'em.)
I'll take some updated pix of mine soon...with my Tanabe Medallion Touring exhaust.

There is someone here in Tampa selling a Black Cherry with like 70K miles for 14,000...
Just an FYI in case someone was looking for one.

A longtime lurker in CL after trading in my 99 GS after an accident, I'm back on the market for a GS because my wife is tired of her Maxima, and she loved my old GS. I was really considering going back to a black-on-black, but this black cherry looks great. And I just showed my wife, and she absolutely LOVES this color. I would want it with a black interior though, not tan. I'm going to search for some more black cherry pictures.
Nice job, Black Cherry owners. Lookin good. And I like the fact that you're BC gang is so small. Exclusivity definitely has its aesthetic advantages.

Finesse check the dealers in teh DC area, 2 or 3 usually pop up. GS are expensive down here though, I purchased mine up your way in Pa. Couple thousand dollars cheaper. Good luck on your search.
Yea the baby is 7 days old she is cute as a button. She is pretty quiet until hungry. So I am up at night and my wife does the day shift. See what happens when I return to work.
