I'm pretty sure they are compatible but I will double check with my chart in the morning.

You can however program in another key as long as you have an existing master key. If you don't have a master key then a locksmith with a scan tool or the dealer can reset the immobiliser for you and program in additional keys.

I have these keys for sale on my site. Click on the link in my signature line.

Take care,

Tami

It isn't the part # that is important. It is the function of the remote and the type of transponder chip that is in the key. The transponder chip type is the same in these two vehicles.

Take care,

Tami

P.S. I've edited 2 of my posts because in my tired state of mind last night I read that the other vehicle was a SC430 but I realize today it says LS430.

So, to answer your original question. You can use the remote from the LS430 on your GS430. They are the same electronic components.

No, not on a 2001 GS430! As long as there is an existing master key then you can add additional keys using the on board programming method.

Take care,

Tami

This is not the correct procedure for programming anything on a 2001 GS430.

Take care,

I am in the exact same boat. Just bought '99 GS 400 and only have the one master key. I want to get another key that does it all.
