one thing i did forget to say is that underneath the metal braket where you take the bolt out from be sure to scratch the surface so it will make a better contact with the body.

yeah i was going to mention that..need to rough up the surface for better contact

edit: so i just did this mod.. i first noticed that my antenna coil has a lot more coils than dee... after completing the mod i noticed that the pass rear actually lost strength..further testing will be conducted later toinght

ok after i read this post i went over to rmmgs4's place and did the mod myself too

however, sad to say, it didn't really do much in my case. maybe it helped a bit, but i did a 9 location tests before and after the mod and the results were pretty much the same before and after

but by comparison, putting the key against my chin made it work like a charm, even from like 70 fit away

for the record though, as long as there is another vehicle in between me and my car, or if i am over 40 or 50 ft away from my car, it gets hard to trigger the remote

comparing to my is300 and sc430 this is still weak

Yup - I use the chin trick once in a while, and it works very well. I just point the key straight up and the tip against my skin under my chin. Range probably triples!

cant do that anymore... i broke my jaw last year so no more natural amp
