Jon, this thread rocks! That is a great mod that you can DIY. Thanks for the great write-up.

I had the Levoc aluminum pedals but they had to be put over the stock pedals. The dead pedal was nice, not sure if you want to add that and it covered the plastic part in the footwell.

very nice man! it certainly gives the car a little more sportyness to the interior...what makes your car soo impressive is that you mod some parts of the car that normally people dont address

I decided to try this out. ordered my stuff and it cost me about 85 brand new. So I guess we will see if the IS pedals (not Altezza as jtanayo used) will fit on the GS

Don't forget. You also need to change the metal bar that holds the gas pedal. So you need 3 parts total. You can't reuse the old metal bar from your old gas pedal. Otherwise, believe me, it's a 15 min job tops.

if he got it from the dealer then the gas pedal and lever come as a package, they dont sell it seperate. on the other hand the brake pedal and lever are sold seperate.

Part numbers For this mod?

U.S. Lexus part numbers...I'm dying to do this...

btw. I thought the Brake pedal only needs the Pad and not the whole Brake Lever arm?

Exactly. For the brake pedal you only need the cover. For the gas pedal, you need the metal arm too...

I will have to revisit this. Although I did no tunbolt the GS ones, the IS ones did not seem to line up the same. The mechanism also seemed different. Did your throttle change in terms of response, Jon? Meaning, did you have to press harder or softer for a similar response on the OEM GS pedals? Also, the GS pedals pivots while the IS ones don't.

It has been months since I looked at this though. I've been driving around with just the brake one on.

Ah ok, like I said, this is applies to Aristo and Altezza. I am not sure how this would work on IS300 and GS'es. I noticed on someone's car on CL that his GS's gas pedal is also a hanging type and not a floor-type pedal like my aristo.
And yes, neo, the IS gas pedal metal arm does not line up exactly in the GS. Like in my aristo, it shifts a little bit to the right, but pedal feel and everything else is identical.
