Default Shifter **** size?

Am looking for an aftermarket shifter **** for my 98 GS400. Anyone know the size (in mm, I guess) of that skinny-assed rod the shifther **** sits on?

don't know, but you could unscrew it and take it into hardware store and find out which size metric bolt screws into it

Thanks, guys. I don't know - I just don't like the feel of the stock wood and leather **** (that guys are paying big money for, lol). I like a larger more substantial smooth ****, since I tend to rest my hand on the **** while driving). The good thing is that since our tranny does not have a shifter button lockout, we are free to use any **** designed for manual trannies. BUT, there are few made for such a skinny stick, even with thread inserts...

Jolly - all I can find on the linked site is steering wheels...

Nick-

The new SC430 has and all wood (larger) shift ****. Fits right on. Post a WTB add for one of those. Should run about $125 FYI-

Doug

PS-try contacting CL member kyle3481. That's who I got mine from.

Default Good news

Looks like it's a 5/16in/8 mm stick, so any aftermarket **** should fit. Just ordered 2 Razo *****. Will post picks when they arrive.
