I'm thinking about to upgrade my GS's taillights, bought 2 sets custom OEM taillights for my GS400 and my sister's GS300, how do you think it compare to 2001 to 2004 taillights?

I prefer the 01+ style even over the 98-00 cleared style. I just think the newer design blends in with the quad rear lights better. I hope you did not pay too much for them as the 98-00 tails can be had for relatively cheap and it is DIY clearable (not like the 01+, no DIY).

You will be one of the few going from 01+ to 98-00. I am sure you will be able to find someone to buy your 2 sets of 01+ tails.

As long as you like them, go for it.

I'm going to try and clear the middle 98-00 taillights like the one you have....A good solution for temp. until someone figures out how to clear the 01+ taillights lol

im going out on a limb here but i think he thought the cleared tails are newer than his 01 tails which in fact are the 98 with cleared mod.

i do love the clear 98-00 look but i just love the flow of the 01's cuz of the matching oval in the light and inner trunk lights. they look great when breaking..

No, I don't have 01+ lights, I have 2000 GS400 with stock lights, so I will keep the clear one, sell the 98-00 stock lights.
