Default A radar detector?

These GS models are so smooth and fast that a radar detector will allow you to go faster AND save more $$$ for mods.

if you plan on getting a BBK, then make sure the rims are high disk and will clear them.

if you are getting regular sized slotted or drilled rotors then it really don't matter

ummm, for me though, i lower the car first (that's if you haven't done so)

yes, bbk is good, but you need to make sure it clears the wheel.

well i f read correctly you want 20's and BBK

if you get the BBK all the other stuff lines, pads, rotors will come with the kit

probably get rims fiirst because you wont be able to fit a BBK on stock rims

check the vendors forum

they have a Group Buy going on right now

welcome aboard

I agree, if you havent lowered it then that is the first thing I would do. You dont want to be riding around in a 4x4

Like the others are wondering, are you asking BBK vs rims? OR just maintenance (read replacement) of safety items? If it is the former, than I agree with rims because this will determine the BBK clearance. You are severely restricting yourself if you do it the other way around. Depending on the BBK, it may not even be possible to get BBK first because of fitment.

With all that said, I agree with the others that lowering should come first since you get immediate benefits in ride, handling, and looks. If you do shocks and springs, you will again have to think forward to wheels to see what the drop you want on the rim size. If you do coilovers, than no forward thinking is needed since you can adjust the height with whatever wheels you have, now and later.

Default Lowering options

Hi guys. On the subject of lowering, what is most cost effective set-up? Sounds like coilovers is the best way to go for any change in wheel size. Should sway bars be done at the same time?

Most cost effective would be springs and shocks....something like the Bilstein/ Eibach combo. The best way to lower in my opinion is with coilovers.....but no the most cost effective.

Welcome.

Looking back when I first got the car, the very first thing that needs to be done is the suspension!
GS when stock is so mushy. I'm not an all out performance guy as compared to other members, but this is what I should've done a looooooong time ago.
Couldn't really lower the car b/c I'm still on 16's.

my preference for modding:
always do suspension first and rims next but make sure your wheels are high disk if your planning on a bbk on the future..
