yup that's teh bolt i talked about. honestly i probably don't feel comfortable about sanding that off. just look at it and imagine what kind of load is suspended on that bolt. i wouldn't wanna alter the strength of it

OK, ummm......this was an issue that was heavily overlooked. But I just realized that the tires were 255/35 20's all the way around!! Even though it's staggered at x9 and x10s. So the rubbing issue could equate from the size of the tire.

I'm guessing the tire size has to be the culprit here. What do you guys with the same size wheels have for tire sizes?

my tire setup is weird....

20x9.0 +35 front 245-35-20
20x10.0 +35 rear 255-35-20

I stretched the back, but not the front because of availability of tire specs from my tire sponsor. Its ok... The front doesn't rub at all because I am running an aftermarket fender from Junction Produce

I've starting to hear a lot more 245/35's for the x9's. So I'm guessing that the fact the place I bought the wheel and rims from fitted the wrong size tire for the x9s. What do you think?

Also I've been trying to call you for the last few days trying to find out how much the Junction Produce wing is for the GS 300. But I was unable to reach anyone each time I called.

for 9" wide, most people I know would go 245s. I on the other hand would rather run a 225, but I like having a more aggressive offset anyways.

I apologize for the difficulties for reaching me. I have been out of town for the past 2 weeks for SEMA and I have Junction Produce Japan still here as well as editors from VIP Style and VIP Car magazine so we havae been trying to fit in photoshoots as well as many interviews outside of the office. your setup ideally should have 245-35-20 on front 9",and 275-30-20 on rear 10".........................i have staggered lowenharts with 9 and 10 and those tires work perfect

i run a 2553520 in the front and its fine.. jsut need the right offsets of the wheels.. but if you want to slam you will have to mod the fender well alittle... just to be safe.

Thanks for your response. I will ask my wheel dealer to grab me the correct sizes. It seems like the majority agree on 245/35's for the front. The rears I'm wondering if I should l leave at 255/35. Or should I also move it up to 275? What is the difference if I do move up the size?

However on another unfortunate note, I had just returned from the place that lowered my car. Just installed Tein CS coilovers. Rides good, but I also noticed some very HARSH VIBRATIONS on the steering wheel when the speed hit 50~65MPH. I didn't go beyond that speed to see if the vibrations would go away. But is this something you guys have experienced? If so what was the remedy (if there is one). I can only think that it might be the balancing of the wheels, but that was done yesterday when they installed the wheels on the car.

As John had concurred, I am running 20x8.5 +24 with 225/35/20 tires up front and 20x9.5 245/35/20 tires in the back. Fender rolling and removal of plastic guards are required if you are planning to go as low as I am. But I am the sicko of CL.

Reminder,

If you going for the stretched look then teh 235 front and 255 rear is fine. If not then go 245/35 front and 275/30 rear.

Even when I had 20x8.5 with 35offset and 255/35-20 my car used to rub over dips. The GS just doesnt like 255s up front LOL (some exceptions are custom work guys like SoCalSC4 and such.)
