To all the Spectra Brotherhood. As you are all aware. Our precious shade of awesomeness is slowly becoming more extinct. If you know anyone who is a Spectra fan, urge them to rescue one or create one (paint job). Extinction is not an option! I only have 103k on mine, going to drive her forever and continue to spread the word!

Sits in my garage and was tempted several times to sell at a premium and stop paying insurance but just couldn't pull the trigger. Battery died so had to jump it and drive it today, and revalidated my reasons for keeping forever

Nevertheless, imagine my excitement when I finally decided to pick up a Nissan GT-R and it was available in Deep Blue Pearl which IMO is almost an identical color:
Alas it's been almost 2 years with the Nissan and I'm moving on from it to save up some money for other things, but I -do- have an '04 GS300 in the asian-mom-colored pearl opal grey/green mix. Despite the paint being in great shape (and the car only having 48k miles), I'm somewhat interested in getting it painted blue.... not sure whether I'd tell the body shop to replicate Spectra or Deep Blue Pearl though at this point. I'm also a fan of Mercedes Lunar Blue which is extremely hard to photograph because the color shifts very abruptly from a vivid blue to almost black depending on how the light catches it:
Decisions....
