New GS400 owner saying hello. I just bought a 2000 CPO
car from Lexus of Ann Arbor and had it shipped to me in Louisville, Ky. My previous ride was a 99 328i that I had modded a bunch, SC, suspension a ton of audio. The BMW was a great car, don't get me wrong, but I am just so impressed with the Lexus. It has 56,000 miles and it drives like it's brand new. The Bimmer has all kinds of squeaks, pops, clunks and it has only a few more miles on it than the GS400. The Lexus is just so quiet and solid. I can't say enough about how nice these cars drive. I don't think I'll ever own another brand of car unless my fortunes take a huge turn for the worse.
As far as modding goes, I have a SRT intake/ecu on the way and am seriously considering the TC as my next mod. I definitely doing performance first and appearence later, with the exception of tint and XM radio. Once you've had XM, there's no living without it.
Man, this car is fast. I did a ECU reset and took it out to let it know what was in store for for the next few years and was amazed. It's sneaky fast compared to the BMW. It's so quiet and smooth you don't realized you're doing 80 in a 45 all of the sudden. I've already had my Valetine One save my ***. Need to get that hardwired soon. Well, thanks for all the info I've already gotten from this great forum.
