Default Outside Temperature indicates -22

I'm in SoCal, so obviously this is incorrect. The thermometer does not change. It always indicates -22. Any ideas on what the problem could be and a fix? I'm just thinking about resetting the ECU.

I had this problem in my BMW, which was common for the 5series. It was a sensor which was like $150 that somehow got ripped out. I really forgot the name of it. I doubt its the ECU.
