I was watching that auction like a hawk when it first came out. Now that it has reached clublexus, I doubt it would stay that low. I guess I would have to wait till the end and hopefully win with a last second bid.

The new steering wheel is shaped differently than the 98-2000 so the airbag does not fit. The newer airbags have a different connector and is a 2-stage airbag vs the 1-stage airbag of the earlier years. At one point, manaray and a few other members had some info where you needed the 01 RX300 airbag (which supposedly had the old connector) and a newer model steering wheel. There was not enough confirmation of other members trying this out.
This was when people were trying to have the chrome 'L' in the middle of the steering wheel and it really only came with the newer airbag. I am sure there is a way to do this by rewiring/soldering directly BUT it could be somewhat dangerous. One bad connection/signal and you can deploy the airbag. Not only can you get hurt but those airbags are not cheap.
This is a great deal for members with the right interior color and 01+ cars without a wood steering wheel. For the rest of us, it can be a lot of work.

Wood is nice. I'm not sure I'm willing to dump my E-shift just yet, but I've tried the stereo controls on the RX330 wood steering and it's awesome. I'll bet this price will bid up to more than $150. I have put it in my ebay watch list just for the fun of watching the price.
