Well I've been riding my JZS147 lately and I found it has a TRD suspension installed. These are 7 way adjustable shocks but I doubt they are monotube or digressive valved. 543 lbs/in front springs and 370 lbs/in rear. The handling is very sharp. It rides slightly more stiff than my Cadillac but not jarring. Its very controlled and tolerable imo. The suspension doesn't seem offputting in a luxury car.

That's really cool!! I didn't know TRD made shocks for JZS147. Are the springs from TRD too?

Yes they are

You can find the part numbers here:
http://www.trdparts.jp/english/list_aristo.html

This Russian website lists the spring rates and drop heights:
http://trd-post.chat.ru/LoweringSpring.html

There's a whole list of TRD parts on the first page. Most of them are discontinued but with the part numbers, you could probably get them off the Internet. The only thing I don't see listed is the TRD spedometer. I have the 320 km/h TRD one. It seems to be pretty common but it wasn't stock.

Toyota had some kind of a deal with Bilstein and released a Toyota Bilstein factory suspension for the JZA80. There's one listed on Yahoo auctions Japan for $100.

I'm not sure if Toyota had the same deal for the JZS147 but I'll keep looking. What I really want to find is Ohlins.

So this might be a dumb question, but when shopping for coilovers, most companies don't have pre '98 as listing options. Do coilovers from G2 GS's work on G1 GS's?

That's what I thought. Looks like I'll be doing more research as far as what needs to be done. Looks like my options are going to be more limited.

No. They do not.

There are a lot of companies that make stuff for the JZS147. You just need to use some more specific searches.

The Supra coilovers fit as well. They are a bit shorter in the rear though.

I think I'll just go with the BC Coilovers. Only way to see if I'll be satisfied with them is to try them.

KTS System Beta. 18Kg/mm front springs and 14Kg/mm rears. Hopefully, they give me some more control over the ride. These Megan's aren't my cup of tea.

Default Possibility of adapting

Hey guys I'm looking into and airbag suspension setup on my 94 Lexus, every company I've talked to about my car, they don't sell kits for but they sell kits for Second gen, is there possibly an adapter plate I could use or that's available from the 2nd gen to the 1st gen?
