Default How much of a wrecked gen 2 will fit the 1st gen?

First I apologize, normally i do a ton of research before ever thinking about asking a question, but this is a newer project idea so I haven't had time to dive into it.

Do to a recent run of bad luck we now have a pair of wrecked GS430's (01 & 02). One will be cannibalized to fix the other but both were in amazing shape (both under 100k) prior to their deaths. (no i didn't do it wasn't even in the car either time!) That leaves me with great condition interior, drivetrain, and basically new Tein street flex coil overs, LS400 BBK, etc to go somewhere. I may just have a nice sale since I have way to many projects already, but I noticed a 1st gen GS on my way home tonight and started thinking.

So since I've never even sat in one of the original GS's will any of the later stuff swap over reasonably easily?

Suspension? Seats? 3UZ?

I'm not even close to new at wrenching but I'm not looking to undertake a full custom fab project here either.

Any help is much appreciated.

Sorry about your run of bad luck!! As far as swaping parts from the 2nd Gen to 1st Gen....I am not sure there is a lot that will swap. I know you can swap the steering wheel as long as you get the air bag adapter harness. I am 90% sure you can use the coilovers and front upper controp arms. The LS400 BBK can be used buy you will need RCAs or grind the calipers just like on the 2nd Gen.

I have IS-F seats in my first gen. I don't see how second gen GS seats won't fit into the first gen. If you find any information about swapping in the 3UZ please post. This is what I've decieded I want to do but the only info I can find is over on My.is. They can put a 3UZ into a IS300, I don't see why it won't work in the 1st gen GS300.

I'll go to storage tomorrow and take some pictures for you. According to the buyer, everything is supposed to work except the heated seats.

You're going to have to ask that to the previous owner. I got them with the car. Here's the original for sale post. You can see pictures of the car (no engine or trans anymore) and the seats inside. I sat in it two days ago. The front seats seem low but they raise up. The back seats have room for me to sit comfortably and I'm 6'6"

***EDIT*** TRACKMKIII, You've seen this car. It's body is in immaculate shape. I'm planning on doing a 3UZ/R154 swap to it.

Here are the pictures I took yesterday. Sorry, the car is in storage so I can't take good pictures. Its a pain to push the car in and out of the storage unit by myself so I just took the best pictures that I could while the car was inside with my crappy little flip phone.
