Default I left the crew!

I've had a couple of 1GS, and loved them. I finally got a 2GS for $1500.

So is there anything you want to know about differences, mods, etc from a 1GS perspective?

Feels heavier to operate. I don't feel as connected with the car as I was. I'm old school, so I liked the older styling.

It does feel a bit quicker around town though. The mild bump in power is felt.

The manual shift mode is no fun, but the car has high miles.

updated thoughts:

Love:

- Sunroof has auto close
- All windows are auto down
- 5 speed transmission
- Definitely faster even with it feeling heavy

Hate:

- Heavy / weak suspension
- Drive by wire, I feel like the car is driving me instead of me driving the car
- Backlit cluster (love the old black cluster with needles)
- VSC!
- OBD2

Why do you hate the VSC and OBD2?

I am now driving an IS250. I miss the 1GS. Hoping to find one again but all the ones I see are beat to death. Hope I'll be back. Stay classy 1st gens!

I daily drive mine. Love the car but it is hard to find certain parts for. Window moldings will be the death of me! lol I do plan on getting into the SC game some day.

I've done SC but outside of the easier suspension options I'd still take the GS for a daily. The doors are SOOO heavy to get in and out of.

PS I spy a 7M power steering unit!

Yup my first car was an 88 supra turbo 5 speed and I fell in love with the notchy R154, you can spy the clutch master in that engine photo if you know where to look. I ended up swapping both a chaser R154 and I also was very fond of the 7mgte power steering reservoir labeled Toyoda.
